Yup, I came here to say this. You can’t rehabilitate someone when you don’t treat them like a contributing member of society They have the When There Are Nine Femi Shirt Furthermore, I will do this same system in Finnish prisons, and the rooms also look like this. Most of the prisons in Finland are also open prisons, without locks or gates. The prisoners can also study outside the prison, walk into town and earn money. I think that is a great idea overall, but not everybody should be given that courtesy. Some people are sick beyond repair like that guy who killed over 50 people and then was crying he didnt have a playstation in his nice cell. This is what I was wondering. Does anyone know Norway’s recidivism rate? It seems if being in prison isn’t too bad, then going back isn’t a deterrent. I suppose the truth could be counterintuitive though, or more complex…

I think we’re dealing with completely different cultures… America seems to have a huge segment of the When There Are Nine Femi Shirt Furthermore, I will do this population that glorifies violence and a criminal lifestyle… I don’t think that system would work here for a lot of the prison population, but some of them sure. I saw a documentary from american prisons some years ago. During an interview with a guard an inmate in a cell behind him went completely crazy. I could tell that the prisoner had mental problems and should have gotten treatment and not being locked up in prison. The guard got upset that he disturbed his interview, turned around and pepper sprayed the entire cell. Then said: That should shut him up! And continued the interview. In Norway the guard would end up in prison and the prisoner would be in a mental hospital. It made me really sad to see the lack of respect for another human being.
