I lived by a house that would help blind individuals who were new to the When The DM Smiles It’s Already Too Late Tabletop Gamers T-Shirt besides I will buy this city, or newly blind due to some event learn how to navigate the city before helping them find more permanent housing so we had a lot of blind individuals in the area. I was moving probably several of these fucking scooters off of the sidewalks every single trip I made walking to/from work or to/from the restaurants or stores near my place because they were constantly left blocking the sidewalks and making it that much harder for our neighbors trying to learn the city. Or just have bike lanes they are required to use and put a small parking area on each corner, just like sane places already do with bicycles. One car parking spot at the end of each block, maybe 2 in places with large blocks, is reserved via bollards for bikes (with racks) and things like Lime scooters. Easy to implement, easy to adopt since it should be obvious to anyone (and the scooters can not end their ride/payment until they are within one of them according to the GPS). It’s not rocket science, but it requires people to admit that car-everything isn’t the future and give up a single parking space per block, so it won’t happen I guess.

Sorry. People are too dumb to use this things as a common service. Buy one (for something like 500€) and use it as you please. Or walk Wow, I gave you literal steps to prevent your entire concern with them, and you just said ‘nope’. What’s it like, being contrarian just to feel like you have a point to make? People will leave them where they are supposed to when there is a monetary penalty for not doing so (the app keeps the meter running and charges you). And, if you fail to do it more than once, boom, no renting them for you. It’s simple shit. In my town you can find this crap everywhere in every corner, because we don´t have any monetary penalty or consequences for the users. Ergo: This junk is parked everywhere and is bothering every single reasonable citizen.
