I find it interesting that the When God Made Grandsons He Gave Me The Best shirt and by the same token and state can kill you, but won’t allow physician-assisted suicide. This state is fucking nuts. It’s shockingly humane. And easy to perform. This is how we should execute people. They fall asleep and suffocate. This is how I’d like to die personally. You breathe like normal. Your body doesn’t know what’s happening at all until you drift put of consciousness. Then you die. It sounds amazingly peaceful. If I had to choose this would be it. Reminds me of the bit in the show “I’m a Virgo” with (I think) Elijah Wood where he knows that the death penalty is wrong but has given up on trying to abolish it and is instead advocating for a different method to insert the IV for lethal injection that is less painful for the person even though it’s more difficult to do compared to the easier method.

Nitrogen is cheap. The death is apparently painless too. You don’t even realize you’re suffocating until you’re blacked out, then you’re just dead. Sounds great… as far as dying goes. Most of us will die in pain. I’d love to go out the nitrogen way.
