I was in fifth grade in 1989. It was near the Whatever I Did Piss You Off Please Let Me Know Sloth shirt and I will buy this end of school and I got chickenpox. I had to stay home for about a week. My mom, thinking that she was buying a different book entirely, bought me a book called Necessary Roughness. It was a Memoir by a football agent named Mike Trope.

Among the collection of stories of football agent and player excess of the 70s and 80s was the story of Donald Trump‘s deal with Lawrence Taylor. In the world of sketchy sports deals, this was one of the sketchiest. Trump and the New Jersey generals did their best to make sure that Taylor is lawyers and agents were kept out of the loop regarding the fact that this deal was even going to happen. They met in secret and Trump put together a deal with Taylor that wound up going sideways. It was a mess. I saw him in a program years ago where he was begging that he purchased land to develope a golf course. On that land there was a small cemetery. He took the grave stones out, cleaned them up, and laid them scribed side down on a pathway to act as stairs.

Whatever I Did Piss You Off Please Let Me Know Sloth shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Way back in the Whatever I Did Piss You Off Please Let Me Know Sloth shirt and I will buy this ’80s when trump used an alter ego named “John Barron” as a trump spokesperson and EVERYONE knew it was the toddler trump on the phone pretending to be someone else. Long before 9/11. If you lived in NJ you knew he was a scammer, a lying POS, didn’t pay workers and contractors. Just overall a horrible person. A phony college, a defunct casino and many other bankrupt businesses that stole peoples money. I thought of investing in one of his businesses my husband said ABSOLUTELY NOT When I first saw him back in the late 80s/early 90s. I felt someone so conceited to name everything after themselves had to be an asshole. When I lived in Amityville and heard stories from family about how builders/contractors had been stiffed after work done. They lost their business in one case, couldn’t make payroll.
