I know the What Jack O’neill Is Doin shirt and I will buy this advertisement is different for everyone but it’s funny to me that mine is for the state lottery on a post about addiction. Heroin. Or maybe meth. I’ve never tried or been addicted to either, but they seem pretty similar in terms of severity. Though feel free to correct me if I’m totally wrong. I’ve seen and worked with many people in recovery over the years. Most of whom were substance addicted. They pale in comparison to the depravity below. Some of the most heart wrenching things I’ve seen are the gamblers that loss 30-40 years of everything they worked for in a matter of weeks wife, kids, savings, 401k, houses, cars, toys and then eat a bullet in the depths of depression. The others would be the real deal sex addicts, it is not what you think. No good things, no impulse control sexually and what this leads to is heartbreaking. I’m not talking the occasional picking up a street walker. I’m talking lots of confused feelings, like people having uncontrollably sexual thoughts about their own children. Benzodiazapines. Even while “tapering” I couldn’t sleep for like 8 months. That does a lot of damage mentally and psychologically. I watched everyday, and masturbate every morning in late 2019 and early 2020. I felt weak (demotivated) when I didn’t do so after a couple of days (which i relapsed). When i enroll in sixth form (age around 17-18), i noticed my social skills deteriorated as in i could talk to girls like i used to. But since I’m busy with studying and being more social, i overcame it for a bit.

From this experience, masturbating and watching porn affects my social skills when talking to girls. Idk if this happens to others as well Sugar. It’s everywhere and as someone with a “sweet tooth” (aka sugar addict) I feel once your taste buds start getting accustomed to sugar, your tastes dull a bit and want sweeter and sweeter things. 116 more repliesOpiate withdrawal is not fun. I don’t really have anything to compare it to since it’s the What Jack O’neill Is Doin shirt and I will buy this only addiction I’ve dealt with, but it’s hard to overstate just how much it will test your resolve. Being a good person is easy until you’re threatened with unimaginable physical and psychological pain for an unknown period or time. “Choose life” sounds easy until the alternative is avoiding that torture. Not that I condone any of the heinous shit people do to feed their addictions, but I do understand the choice they’re being asked to make and it is not an easy one. Let people do what they want and maybe they’ll take responsibility for themselves and stop blaming drugs etc. it’s fucking pathetic and weak. Yeah I’ve done everything. None of its worth writing home about. Rather have a cup of tea. If that tea was illegal however I wouldn’t be happy. Stop treating people like children and you never know they may stop behaving like them
