Turned 50 this year, so have been single for ~12 years. I do get depressive episodes quite a lot and have struggled with suicidal thoughts on and off since I was 9. I got close a few years ago and started researching the things I would need to follow through but ultimately was too scared to do it. That was the first time I actually made plans. I do miss the closeness and intimacy of a relationship. I like doing things alone but also feel bad when I see couples out doing things together. I feel like I’m just not cut out for what society expects me to be and I struggle to be ok with being different to that. I’m not happy

Seems quite hard to find something mutual.
