I work Stocking 2 shift, full time from 2pm-11pm. I was 1 month away from working 2 years. I come in at 2pm, and work until around 6ish, I noticed I was clocked out on my work phone. My manager sends me to the We’re Fighting For Wins shirt in other words I will buy this front office where my coach tells me I’m fired. They said last Monday, I took too long of a lunch break, an extra 30-40 min, which is total utter bullshit. Saying I punched in and out at said time. I have never done this ever since working there. I always punch out after an hour, and any accidents with punching out, I let management know. They told me they saw footage of me on camera from the break room coming in and out at said time, and I told them, okay, show it to me. They said they are not allowed to show me. And for this incident plus I was red flagged for a year at one point a while back for saying an inappropriate joke, which I apologized for and have explained it wasn’t meant to be insulting which it wasn’t.Could be that they just wanted to get rid of you maybe to make room for someone they can pay less

Walmart, a billion dollar company, making room for someone to pay less? I mean nothing would surprise me anymore at this point. The budgets are determined store by store, it’s literally based on how much your individual store makes and if mr manager feels like employee pay is cutting into his bonus, better believe he’s gonna get rid of old timers in favor of paying new comers less. It all adds up around bonus time. That or those managers get bonuses if they save money I bet you. Firing you so they can hire someone else cheaper will make them look good. We are talking about the We’re Fighting For Wins shirt in other words I will buy this same company that is charging associates 3 dollars a day to wear shorts in the summer. Who gives a fuck, they aren’t your friends. You were a number to them. Make yourself a new home at a better job! I wasn’t aware that taking a longer lunch was a fireable reason. People do it all the time at my store. Used to have a TL that 2 hour lunches everyday. I thought you could take longer lunches as long as you stay off the clock? Is this actually why you got fired anything else you can think of? I remember exactly what I did that day, they said I punched out and punched in on lunch at a certain time. The only way this would make any sense to me, is if somebody else manually fucked with my timesheet. And lied about seeing me on camera on break for too long.
