The SCOTUS are sacks of shit, all of them. 9 people have no right to decide what women all across the We need you astronaut adult nasa shirt What’s more,I will buy this country choose to do with their bodies. HEY LOOK EVERYONE I’M THE DEMOCRATIC ROLE MODEL OF THE WORLD FOLLOW ME FOR MORE TIPS AND TRICKS ON HOW TO FUCK UP EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF A HUMAN BEING Don’t need a law license to be a Supreme Court justice, and impeachment won’t work because you need a 2/3rd majority in the senate to convict. Erm, wait a sec – these clips don’t show them saying they won’t overturn roe v Wade. That’s not what their words said. One of Trump’s campaign promises was appointing judges who would overturn Roe. Why anyone in Congress is shocked is beyond me. They’re either faking it or that naive. Christianity is pure evil. No amount of good works can justify the horrors Christianity has wrought on humanity. You mean to say that republicans are liars? Shocker. Barrett got confirm during the lame duck wasn’t enough of a proof? “.For the first 185 years after the adoption of the Constitution, each State was permitted to address this issue in accordance with the views of its citizens. Then, in 1973, this Court decided Roe v. Wade, 410 U. S. 113. Even though the Constitution makes no mention of abortion, the Court held that it confers a broad right to obtain one.” – Alito

Yeah we read it… he is throwing out precedent and playing that the We need you astronaut adult nasa shirt What’s more,I will buy this right must be enumberated because fuck the 9th amendment.. lets jump to the 10th. Women aren’t citizens i guess so the 9th can’t apply to unenumerated rights because he is time traveling to before the 19th amendment. Seriously he is applying 18th and 19th century stone age thinking to match his dogma. Every notice the same people who said the ERA was unnecessary because the Constitution protected women are the same ones now saying the Constitution doesn’t explicitly protect women. This was planned and is horrific. Just wait until you see what other rights reserved to the Citizen (9th amendment – unenumerated) that they will start to strike down. In the opinion, Alito outlines the central question at heart: Does the Constitution guarantee the right to abortion through any amendment, as it is an unenumerated right? He even outlines the two mechanisms that are used to determine whether or not a right can stem from amendments in the Constitution: whether such right is “deeply rooted in this Nation’s history and tradition” and “implicit in the concept of ordered liberty.” The decisions made in Roe and Casey do not pass muster when considering these two mechanisms of legal analysis. He also acknowledges at the end that “Nothing in this opinion should be understood to cast doubt on precedents that do not concern abortion” specifically because it is acknowledged in both Roe and Casey that “‘[a]bortion is a unique act’ because it terminates ‘life or potential life.'” Keep in mind that he is not the one saying abortion is a right separate from other unenumerated rights, but the actual court cases themselves define it as such. The argument that abortion is a fundamental right under the Constitution is flawed and is not the way that abortion should be granted in this country. We should instead pass laws that allow for people to seek and obtain abortions, either at the state or national level, because at its core, this is a nation of laws first. The Supreme Court is not a lawmaking body, and yet, they made the de-facto “law” on abortion and it stood for over 50 years. 50 years to actually codify such law, and nothing was done.
