That’s for protection for me so no one thinks anything inappropriate is happening. Anyone that much older trying to be in private situations with someone underage should be questioned. I can see some private discussions happening just due to scheduling but not seeking it out like seems like is happening here. I absolutely would want the students to succeed. If they are attending college I would not want them to drop out and I would do whatever I could to make sure they succeed in school. Anyone who wants you to fail for their benefit sounds like a terrible person. You need to get some distance there.
