Heat suck. We wonder why the Waystar Royco Shirt also I will do this house is cold and then realize the cat is walking around hot like the sun because he’s sucked up all the hot air! We were free-feeding at first because we have 2 kittens but one of them was eating way too much and getting fat. We also did a lot of research and found out that dry food isn’t great for them… but it’s better for their teeth. So we feed them 3 wet meals a day with a little bit of crunchy food at the end to help clean their teeth. It’s working great because my fat cat went back to normal size. I have 2 cats and a dog so I keep 2 big water bowls out for them. Just wash and fill both every morning and they’re all set. Also, male cats are prone to getting urinary blockages from eating dry food – and if/when they do it’s an emergency that can kill them if not treated in time, and the treatment is painful I deeply regret feeding my first cat Sammy dry food. I was 19 in college. I thought I was doing everything right and then some. I fed him the healthiest and best brands possible. I spoiled him rotten. The Vet insisted that he had underlying health conditions, but advised me to not use dry food anymore. My Vet was definitely trying to spare my feelings because I was crying to the point of dry heaving in the office when he told me why my kitty was so sick. I learned a very painful lesson. I now only do try food with the LITTLEST bit of crunchy food for my cats for the teeth.

Waystar Royco Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

It broke my heart and it took me many years to come to peace with the Waystar Royco Shirt also I will do this shame I felt . I appreciate you spreading the message because I had NO clue this was a thing and no cat or owner should have to learn this themselves 🙁 Cats also get most of their water from their food. Cats that eat a primarily dry diet tend to get kidney problems and stuff because they just don’t drink a lot of water. Dry food doesn’t offer enough hydration and is full of fillers and vegetables, high carbs and low protein- all of which are entirely contrary to what cats need. High on carbs (which they don’t need a lot of at all) and low on moisture (which they actually need a lot because they’re bad at drinking water). If you can’t afford wet food only it’s not the end of the world though, but it does become more important as they get older. You can also always add some water to their dry kibble when you feed them (but don’t leave wet kibble out all day). Actually dry food doesn’t clean their teeth unless it’s specifically a dental cleaning food, and even then, it doesn’t do much. The proper way to control their dental health is either by feeding them raw meaty bones such as chicken necks, or brushing their teeth. Wet food for breakfast and dinner. 2 cats split one small can. Then an automatic feeder lets loose some dry food at 1pm for lunch and at 10pm for overnight snacking. We change their water bowl in the morning and at night. Somehow they manage a few treats (usually freeze-dried chicken bites, which is really just food, and sometimes Greenies) throughout the day and they get a Churu on Friday night to kick off the weekend. I only feed my cat 2 times a day. I give him the recommend serving size, and he gets treats throughout the day. I have to fill the water 1 time. Day he drinks like there’s no tomorrow.
