I dunno where you live but there’s a thing called kid size meals where I’m from…whoever you know that packs their kids plates with adult size portions and then forces them to eat it all…well let’s just say they’re doing it wrong Mealtime is treated as an opportunity to humiliate and dominate, make up new rules, gaslight about previous situations… and overall turn daily life into an emotional war zone… so the adults can externalize blame for the constant hurt. Forcing your kid to eat something that makes them vomit doesn’t “Count” officially as child abuse, so it makes convenient cover for the same instincts to create drama.

I couldn’t be done eating until he says… sometimes he would make me drink a whole gallon of milk, and not let me leave the table… even when I couldn’t stop vomiting… Anyhow, I can’t eat ___ without PTSD flashbacks.”
