While I get that’s how many people view centrism, that’s not centrism. That’s just placating an extreme view, something a centrist would not do. Centrists believe in something called the Vote uterus strong hand lgbt feminist shirt Furthermore, I will do this Public Sphere, the notion that there is a fact-based truth that we all should draw our conclusions upon. We can disagree on methods to address climate change, for instance, but if we start debating whether it exists or not (in light of overwhelming evidence that it does), that’s one of many signs that the Public Sphere has broken down and that there is no basis for opposite sides of an issue to come to a reasonable consensus on that issue. And that’s where I’m at with Canada already. We have a government that’s ramming identity politics down on the population and implementing racist, inequitable “solutions” to problems that are perceived to exist but aren’t supported by evidence.
