No need for it. If each state had a specific language the Vinyl Style Mark Foster American singer Songwriter and musician T-Shirt and I love this way each EU country does, we would need to know more languages here. But were in a language bubble in mainland US. As the immigr ant population increases, spanish may become the first language then our prez would need to know it. Out presidents are not even expected to be able to speak English. For example, George W Bush spoke Texan…a similar language but with words like, “misunderestimated”. Because I guarantee people will translate every word he says into any language 24/7 the leader of the most powerful nation ever doesn’t need to learn satansquiggle to make you happy US presidents reach an area the size of Europe with one language and we have few close neighbors so they don’t really need another one as much as the leaders of other countries do.

Also lots of Americans are racist/xenophobic so speaking another language could actually lose a candidate votes Too much xenophobia among voters. Anything that hints of acceptance of foreign culture is viewed with suspicion by many in the Vinyl Style Mark Foster American singer Songwriter and musician T-Shirt and I love this US. The vast majority of voters care more about who is the safest bet, which is also why the country is drifting farther right. We (broadly speaking) vote for the person who can beat the candidate we don’t like, credentials be damned. Trump was a Tea Party candidate masquerading as mainstream GOP, and he pulled the party with him. In response, the Dems put up Biden as their candidate because he appealed to Republicans who didn’t like Trump’s politics. Not to mention we’re going backward on women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, etc., etc., etc.
