I think that’s a very fair reaction lol. I couldn’t imagine trying to repurpose a ring meant for someone else. Part of its specialness is that it represents your exclusivity, so it feels weird having a third person in the Vintage Unagi 2023 limited edition shirt But I will love this mix at all, like it’s against what the ring means? I didn’t pay for it and I sure don’t want it Who isn’t giving the ring back? Unless you gave them the ring to give to you, why wouldn’t you do the right thing and give it back? Weirdly enough, in the UK they’re considered the property of the recipient in the event of a break up, exceptions being made only for heirloom rings pretty much!

Makes you wonder if you can sue someone for that in certain states. Technically they sold something that wasn’t theirs. That’s theft and sale of stolen goods, which if it crosses states and value is high enough, may become a federal crime. Also, some people are vengeful and want to hurt the other person during a breakup. Denying someone something they want can be hurtful, but so can keeping something sentimental, like a family heirloom.
