It was over the Vintage Ukraine stamp shirt but in fact I love this moment Ashley Babitt was shot. Enough of the “tourists” witnessed a woman dying before their eyes as a consequence of her brazen stupidity and it made most of them realize that they were actually kind of in danger of the same fate if they continued. Trump’s message came at a time where the energy of the crowd was already bleeding away and folks started packing up and leaving on their own. I’ve had way too many Redditors argue with me “well she was only a woman, why couldn’t they handcuff her peacefully?” It’s as if they think she wandered off from the tour group and there wasn’t an immediate threat of the House Chamber being overrun with the legislators still in it. I have a great meme of that dumbasses face with her maga hat on that says get your shot I got mine. Talk about triggering some conservatives in Florida. Edit: that wholesome award is really driving it home guys! Glad I’m not the only one

In this case “complied” means “dont push your way through a barricaded door with members of congress on the Vintage Ukraine stamp shirt but in fact I love this other side as part of a large crowed calling for the execution of the vice president and several members of congress.” “Complied” in this case is not, “show your ID even though you’re not required to. It isn’t “let them search your car even though they have no warrant or even probable cause.” The crowd wouldn’t even have realized it had happened, maybe 50 people out of ten thousand plus witnessed her death. The insurrectionists ran out of energy because there wasn’t a plan for after they reached the Capitol. That’s why they just wandered around chambers, stole lecterns and rubbed their shit on the walls after they made their way in. Babbitt was shot at 2:44pm, Trump’s video asking people to leave was more than an hour later at 4:17pm. The National Guard showed up later still at 5:40pm.
