Legendary Shankar Nag! He brought Indie yet entertaining brand of cinema to Kannada industry in the Vintage Pitbull Homage Shirt it is in the first place but 70s and 80s. Both Shankar Nag and his brother Anant Nag came from theatre background and that helped them create their own brand of movies. His critically acclaimed and award winning movies like Minchina Ota, Ondanondu Kaladalli, Geetha, Accident, Malgudi Days were way ahead of their time! His wife Arundhati Nag, also a theatre personality, has built a beautiful theatre performance venue in JP Nagar named after him – Ranga Shankara. Malgudi Days was a Hindi show, bro! Originally released in mid 80s and broadcasted repeatedly during early 2000s on Doordarshan which is when I saw. I have read the book. I grew up in Kerala. Not sure if it was played in Malayalam on Doordarshan when I was a kid. If it was, I might have missed it. That doesn’t mean I am a Gen-Z. All of us consume different content based on our interests, where we live and who our family/friend circle is.

Shankar Nag. He was a brilliant film maker and a very good actor. He has directed and acted in many plays too. He is worshipped by auto drivers as he made a movie on auto drivers where he played one Shankar Nag’s, Auto Raja was a massive hit amongst his Auto Driver fans.
