Bet you if there was puppies in that blender someone would have got charged. This is a clear case of goldfish discrimination! #goldfishlivesmatter ? I mean I’d press it thinking “no way is this going to work” and then I’d be absolutely horrified with myelf when it does work… I don’t think I could cope with that kind of guilt after… I saw that exhibit. Didn’t push the Vintage Pink Christmas Vibes Leopard Pink Santa Claus T-Shirt in contrast I will get this on button. I went away satisfied in my knowledge that those poor fishies gained at least a few minutes thanks to me. Every time a post like this comes up I’m just further convinced that the only arguments vegans know how to make are false-equivalencies Bizarre considering they do this to male chickens every single day. You’re voting to hurt animals every time you eat them. It just makes people uncomfortable when they see it in real time. I’m going to go ahead and say he shouldn’t have been acquitted, at least morally speaking if not legally. This is messed up. I remember a gallery owner telling me about a Dutch artist he worked with called Tinkerbell or something. She made really extreme art pieces involving things like this. For example, she filled a gallery space with chicks and then said that at the end she would put them all in an industrial blender. Of course, everyone was shocked and disgusted and people were doing everything they could to stop it. Which was all exactly what the artist was aiming for as her point was to show that people turn a blind eye to this happening in the egg-laying industry where male chicks are disposed of in that way, but freak out when it happens in front of them. I remember being shocked but also thinking how effectively she forced myself and other people to consider our double standards. (I think, and hope, that the chicks weren’t actually harmed in the end)

Lmao everyone here hating on the Vintage Pink Christmas Vibes Leopard Pink Santa Claus T-Shirt in contrast I will get this reported. Yes i would’ve pressed the button too. It’s just some stupid gold fish, who cares. And please don’t come at me with “but gold fish have souls” or whatever PETA bullshit, everyone hurt animals in one way or another. Why does it say “Atleast One”.. That’s a very open ended phrasing. Also how the heck was the director acquitted? Like he directly, and purposefully created that scenario. Yeah.. he didn’t press the button. But he pretty much enticed people to do it. Killing goldfish isn’t illegal. He was accused of cruelty, but the court found that the animals died instantly and painlessly. The larger picture: What is the point of this display? A museum is there to offer art and beauty to the world. What is added to the world through an exhibit with a kill/don’t kill switch?
