The position I lost out on went to a person who def had more experience & looking back, I wasn’t ready for it. I took the new spot they offered me & it was 100% the right move all around. BTW—8 years later, both myself + that other candidate still work for the company & have taken promotions & such along the way. Confidently incorrect. Many companies call candidates to reject them if they’ve made it far into the recruiting process. I got 2 of those calls when I was looking for my current job.

I work in tech, and I know that every FAANG company does rejection calls, along with many of the bigger tech companies.
