I had been playing for a while at that point consecutively so maybe I was just better then idk I didn’t It took like 300 trys but I killed it with a sword. The only thing i did was het torrent apart from that did progess the story at all After dying to him a few times and this being my first souls game ( I’m old as fuck and only started gaming after loosing my job during the pandemic) I thought that this game wasn’t for me. Decided to give it another try, ended up beating the game and remembered that I left him alive so went back to finish the job. Now this is my favorite game and I’m playing through Sekiro and Demon Souls. Can’t wait to try the Dark Souls series. I never thought I would be able to play these games because I wasn’t very good and would play most games on easy mode. I am now obsessed with Fromsoft and can’t hardly wait for the dlc! I’m a sadist “tryhard”. I exited the tutorial and didnt go anywhere until I beat him. Took 70 tries on my astrologer cause I’m bad.

I forgot he existed till I ran around distracted and ended up there again. I already beat godrick when I came back. Needless to say it was far easier than hoped Tried it a few times when i first started, with no knowledge on how From soft games worked (yes i started with Elden Ring as my first souls type game). It did obviously not work because I couldn’t time my rolls. Eventually after beating Margit i came back with knight set and blocked through every attack until I eventually defeated him at level 41. Now I’m a little too experienced for him and massacre his ass in 6 hits while perfectly rolling through everything, it’s a beautiful feeling i tell ya. It was a very satisfying time since I had struggled with boss battles early on and this felt like a clean win. I remember the first time I faced him and he hit me like a golf ball. I wouldn’t give up because I’m stupid and stubborn. I fought him straight up. Played prophet and refused to leave until destroying him. Took many hours. I’m happy that I chose to waste my time.
