It’s gotta be, that shit was massive. It’s also not as potent as your average garlic which is nice. Roasting garlic does mellow it out a bunch anyway tho. In Tuscany, Italy we have a variety of elephant garlic called “aglione della val di chiana” and boy it is delicious. Like elephant garlic is much less strong but sweeter and melts easily when cooked. We make a specific pasta with it called “pici all’aglione” and it’s so good. When Italians (at least in Rome, it’s different throughout) make bruschetta/fettunta, they rub raw garlic on toasted bread, and it’s really strong.
