I work in IT for a big outsourcing company. The client I work for would not tolerate having their service desk located outside of the Vietnam veteran Vietnam veteran proud son in law of a Vietnam veteran shirt and by the same token and country. There’s a lot of good reasons to keep jobs onshore. Thank the maker for being a government contractor with a secret clearance. That isn’t going out of country, ever. It’s not that it’s just that they’re going to start looking at what these people actually do in a day. Part of what they were paid for was to be in an office. Just look at the comments in these kinds of threads, people talking about how they just browse the internet all day or play games. Sounds like 1 person could be doing the work of several. My sister works from home as a graphic designer for the government and I know she does fuck all all day. After dealing with companies with remote workers for the last two years, I’m not buying it. I have to send some of them two and three emails to get their attention. When they were still in the office, they responded right away.

I’d have to say bullshit. I cannot be the Vietnam veteran Vietnam veteran proud son in law of a Vietnam veteran shirt and by the same token and only person who plays PS5 when they shouldn’t because my boss isn’t watching lol. You will work from home, you will have everything delivered too you, you won’t own anything, you will rent anything you use. You will own nothing, you will eat bugs, and you will be happy. Haha. I actually went remote (luckily get to stay that way) and been ordering some productivity crystals on deep web marketplaces to fill the void when no adderall around. I didn’t think I was the only one! Been crushing work! (And melting my brain, most likely!) I’m totally unproductive at home as a software developer, I never prefer working at home. I like to keep my working environment, the stress of the job etc in the office, so when I finally get home it also feels like I’m home and away from anything working related. Another thing about office is the human and social aspect, I like meeting my colleagues, eat lunch with them, play ping pong, small chit chats and other office banter. I’m Team Working in the office!
