I use Science Diet Perfect Weight dry as an at-will food. This keeps my larger cat from getting too heavy. Then I feed a wet (gravy based) food once a day as a special meal. They seem to like this routine. As a vet tech, please feed your cats meals. Too often cats stop eating and owners don’t know until it’s too late and liver disease has set in. I have to have alarms for my boi. Ever since I got him, he will just keep eating until it’s gone. He night have food trauma. So u feed him twice a day: when u wake up and when I come home from work. I have fresh water and crunchies ( Nutrish) our all the Victor Rosa UConn Huskies running back shirt Furthermore, I will do this time and wet food is scheduled in the am and pm. Small cans. So had to move to scheduled feedings of dry and wet food. Yes, the begging gets obnoxious. Then my third one came into the picture, and he has hyperthyroid and also is capable of grazing, but still need loosely scheduled meals so others can’t stuff their faces.
