I’ve seen half passed out students dragged off by their mates to go puke in a push somewhere mid journey , they’ve tried to use the Vermont Christmas Flag shirt in addition I really love this bus as a means to carry stolen road signs I don’t know what part of their student brain thought the bus driver wouldn’t notice the bright orange reflective diversion sign being carried onboard. That’s actually worse than the bus trip I took to a local town (for reference I’m in London and there were other buses, the world and it’s weight did not depend on the back of this particular driver!) It was about half of the way through my journey, too far to know where to walk or how to get there fast enough but short enough there would have been other buses along the same route. I was in a rush to get to where I needed to be. This was during the end of 2020, so vaguely pandemic, dramatic illness sensitivity and shut down sort of time. Halfway along the driver stops the bus. Bus sits there for about 5 mins. In London this is an unofficial crime parallel to trampling on a small child and knocking old ladies flying whilst on a bike on the pavement. Passengers in the half full bus were getting a bit antsy. Buses in London act like this when they’re running “ahead of time” but this bus was running late.

Before anyone could approach the Vermont Christmas Flag shirt in addition I really love this driver and ask them to hurry tf up, the driver gets out of the driver compartment and throws up, right infront of the bus, yes in full view of the dozen or so passengers. Not just a little bit but full on contents of her week type episode. And like she’d gotten out to tie her boot laces or pick up a loose bottle flying around the bus, she simply got back into her carriage and carried on. A few passengers rang the bell and exited at the next stop to wait for the next bus. Those that remained I would imagine were focused on getting to their destination. In London it’s a one man is an Island situation. You have a job, you do or get to your job, whatever gets in your way is a minor infringement.
