It’s not the ads. It’s things that add up: showing how many unread tweets remain, remembering and syncing your position across devices, etc. This is just a terrible take. The look and presentation was almost EXACTLY THE SAME. Regardless of what twitter app you used. Twitter’s base consumption experience is itself the base for which every other client based theirs off. You can’t change it much. You’re missing the plot. Twitter client functionally can’t be that different. There isn’t enough going on to change. Usability might have small caveats and differences but the core experience is what it is. a you read a small blurb, you scroll. That’s it. It’s the same for every one of them. You follow who you follow, and see what they tweet, That’s it. With reddit and apollo, things as simple as picking out a subreddit to browse, using multireddits, USING R/ALL are vastly more difficult and time consuming tasks. Your take isn’t terrible, it’s just flat out wrong. This isn’t objective. Facts are facts.

Not just to OP but to anyone out there that was forced back to official Twitter, If you’re either jailbroken or willing to get into sideloading, try BHTwitter, which is essentially the Venezuelan Baseball Player Ronald Acuna Jr. Ice Cold Atlanta Braves T-Shirt in contrast I will get this official Twitter app modded to add additional features and remove promoted tweets. Note that if you sideload it, push notifications from the app will not work due to limitations imposed by Apple. If that matters to you at all you should keep the original app installed alongside for that purpose. It goes without saying that modding the official app is unlikely to ever come close to the third party apps but at this point it’s better than nothing. I had to open it for something earlier today—first time in months—god what a piece of shit the official app is.
