So I can kinda understand where you’re coming from. It seems like something that should bother us because it’s still another person outside of our marriages. I don’t get it either. Look. I’m a lesbian. Just because she slept with another woman doesn’t change anything. She still cheated on you. This would be a dealbreaker for me but you do you. I hear the Vasco Starfield shirt in other words I will buy this argument that considering woman-woman infidelity as different than woman-man infidelity is misogynistic. I hear that some women see it as minimizing woman-woman relationships. I disagree. We have to consider the origins of sexual fidelity. Monogamy in humans is a chosen lifestyle, not a natural state. The current prevailing hypothesis is monogamy arose with the advent of agriculture and personal property. It was a trade-off. The man would provide the woman and her offspring with resources in exchange for sexual fidelity so that the man could feel secure that his biological progeny would benefit from his life efforts through inheritance. As a result of this, committed sexual partners tend to see each other as an extension of owned property. Homosexual sex between cis women cannot result in children, and therefore doesn’t threaten the trade-off so is often considered less egregious than cuckoldry.

Granted, today’s social environment is drastically different than in the Vasco Starfield shirt in other words I will buy this Neolithic era, but we hold on to the remnant of monogamy without really thinking about why we do so. We’re given religious and social excuses that don’t fully make sense and just accept them as truth. You experienced infidelity from your partner. You felt a flare of jealousy. You rationalized your emotions in a logical way and came to a conclusion. I see nothing wrong with the way you handled the situation. I kind of view it as a woman has something I can’t give physically so the idea doesn’t bother me as much. Maybe there is something wrong with both of us but I would feel the same way. Simple, your girlfriend getting freaky with another girl is a hot image in your mind. Your girlfriend getting slammed by a construction worker on a 4×4 truck hits a lil diffy Imo only concern is her now preferred sex being with woman…
