But there is no self, only representation. There only exists the USSSA Maryland Fast Pitch Fear the Fastpitch 2023 logo shirt In addition,I will do this sense of self. It is a sensation, like any other sensation. Does a tree that you imagined exist? It is just a sensation/representation. If you investigate into your self, you’ll notice that you cannot find the doer behind the actions or thinker behind your thoughts. You’ll only be able to find just the thoughts and actions themselves. No, but the tree I’m thinking about right now does. It’s in my back yard. And the thing the sensation of the self refers to also exists – it’s me! Yes, the tree exists. How do you know? You can see it and make sure by other scientific means that it exists. What about the self? How do you know it exists? You seek to find the root of your sensation of your self. Where is it? How do you find it? What is the basis of its existence? Try and answer these questions. And don’t just say me. Who is this pronoun me referring to? If you seriously investigate you’ll realize that it’s not a trivial question. All of spirituality regardless of it being part of any religion or tradition is about trying to answer this simple question Who/what am I. Likewise, I can only ever experience one moment at a time but I understand motion. I can only hear one note at a time, but I understand a melody. I can only read one page at a time, but I can experience a story.

I don’t think it’s all the USSSA Maryland Fast Pitch Fear the Fastpitch 2023 logo shirt In addition,I will do this groundbreaking to suggest that you can understand something without being able to observe it in its entirety. Interesting analogies. I’d say music is a pretty good example for our discussion. Just as in the melody where notes doesn’t stay constant and always changes, goes up and down, changes tempo, rhythm, becomes silent sometimes and loud other times, our sense of self also increases, decreases, becomes completely absent, arises again, changes with our interaction with others and the world etc. Basically it does not stay the same. And just as when it finishes and you look back and see the melody in its entirety, you look back through time and see the identity you’ve constructed over time (both existing in your memory).
