Most people on this sub will just tell you don’t do it because they have a (mostly) negative view towards work. This could also be a great opportunity for you to advance your career. People are put into “acting” positions quite regularly when someone leaves before there is a permanent replacement. I’ve seen it end both ways, to be realistic with you. Some get the Uscape Notre Dame Fighting Irish White Neon Sign Garment 2023 shirt and by the same token and role permanently, some are replaced. I’m sure that’s not news to you. Also keep in mind that in the corporate world once you say no when asked to take on a role like this, you will not be asked again. I would say yes, go for it. You could get the position permanently and a new title and pay. If you don’t get it, you would still get the experience meaning you can put it on your resume. They want you to lead the team? Well, put down you led a team. If you then did want to leave the company, having that experience will help you land a new job easier. Point is, go with your gut and not what random people on Reddit tell you. Remember, they’re not the ones who could potentially miss out. It’s always easy to say no when it doesn’t impact you.

I’d add review periods at 3,6 and 9 months and if. Nothing happens pay wise by 6 fire a warning shot and by 12 have another job lined up. Title bump will look nice on ur resume. Make sure u go into reviews loaded for bear with salary ranges , improvements uve made, decisions that have fallen on your shoulders before and after manager was there etc. If they approached you about this in the Uscape Notre Dame Fighting Irish White Neon Sign Garment 2023 shirt and by the same token and first place then they know you’re more than capable of taking on the new responsibilities. They should be negotiating a raise with you, not this “let’s see how you do then we’ll talk money” nonsense. But whatever you do, don’t agree to anything until you get everything that’s going to benefit you in writing. I’ve seen many people get screwed over by managers who say “you have my word” then renege because they didn’t have it in writing and will pretend not to remember.
