Do not cling to feeling joy. Just feel and you will get your share. Just as rejecting unpleasant feelings is a trap so is trying to bring about joy. Open your heart and breath your way through it all. We can’t surgically cut out parts so don’t like or we loose it all. I’m a recovering alcoholic/drug addict sober 43 years and meditating 50 years. Meditation saved my life. You can either live in the USA Flag with Harry Belafonte American singer actor and civil rights activist T-Shirt and by the same token and present, or you can be joyful all the time. Living in the present will necessarily mean staying present through difficult or unpleasant circumstances as well as joyful ones. All of it is just weather passing through. A deep sense of calm can be cultivated by maintaining present awareness, and that will soften the edges of the grief and pain that you do end up experiencing. In Buddhism, joy is often associated with the concept of “Mudita,” which is one of the Four Immeasurables or Brahmaviharas. Mudita is translated as sympathetic or altruistic joy. It involves finding joy in the happiness and success of others, without any trace of envy or jealousy. It’s about cultivating a selfless and open-hearted joy in the well-being and achievements of others. So, in a way, joy in Buddhism is not just about personal happiness but extends to a broader sense of shared joy in the happiness of all beings.

Throughout the USA Flag with Harry Belafonte American singer actor and civil rights activist T-Shirt and by the same token and days I’m deep down happy and grateful, but can be crabby and grumpy as well. Waking up human every day. It doesn’t come from you but it was what you were before you became involved in an ego project to get, maintain, create something, a thought perhaps, called happiness. The human mind (conditioned, ego-centric, thought distracted) is not a reliable home so one leaves the home of the human mind to find ones true home. How can you tell who’s legit or not? I like to look at a spiritual leaders past. Sadhguru and his past shows nothing, no struggles, no real life experiences. He studied business school and lived a normal life. Sadhguru only leaves you asking for more questions… making you more dependant on him. It’s malicious. A true spiritual leader let’s his followers think for himself. A false spiritual leader confuses his followers in order to make them dependant on him.
