It’s sad to see. Amazon will close this store beacause it won’t give them that many profits, all this workers Will end up in the Us Air Force Sac Trained Killer Shirt and I will buy this Street and this “Union” won’t take any responsability of it. Companies create Jobs to maje a profit, if this profit is not big enought they gonna put their money in anything else. That’s the truth, and nobody complaining about it it’s not going to give this People a job with a better salary. Come to Argentina, we have thousens of “unions” with millonares leaders and we are poor as fuck! It’s very simple. Look at a chart that shows average wages vs rate of inflation / CoL / etc. If the two do not match up almost 1:1, minimum wage needs to be raised, among other remedies taken, because you cannot sustain a healthy workforce and population (which in turn greases the wheels of industry with expendable income and tax $$$) by keeping so many of them on paycheck to paycheck poverty.

If you have ever recently wondered “how am I going to pay x bill this month”, or “can I afford to send my child to college”, or “we should probably not have meat with dinner cause it’s too expensive (not because of moral questions)”, you are in poverty. If you rely on government assistance, whether through SNAP or some kind of federal program to help pay for school lunches or healthcare or anything, you are in poverty. amazon could pay this to every employee and still. ot be loosing money, the Us Air Force Sac Trained Killer Shirt and I will buy this only reason why they don’t is greed There’s nothing wrong with asking for a higher wage, but it’s also important to do what we can to raise our own wages. We should push for policies that increase the minimum wage and make it easier for workers to unionize. We can also support businesses that pay their employees a living wage, and we can boycott businesses that don’t. This is downvoted to oblivion but I’m surprised it hasn’t been deleted since r/technology is an ultra right-wing subreddit.
