Don’t know about other industries but in the Twiddle Rock Band Distance Makes The Heart Tour Philadelphia Shirt and I love this construction industry they ask employees to resign instead of firing them so that they can hold off the final settlement as much as they want. After covid when my pay was being reduced I straight up told my boss to terminate me. They asked me to resign which I refused. Got my final dues within a month. It was a big win as people who were made to resign had to wait several months to get their payments. At least now you know how to deal with these kind of situations. Always remember, your Boss is never your friend. They’ll sacrifice you in a moment to save their assess. Lol. This should be a Public Service Announcement. We are made to believe we don’t have any employee rights in India. But it doesn’t hurt to stand your ground and negotiate.

Indian Companies do this to avoid paying you severance pay and other paperwork that company lawyer might need to draft to justify your termination in case you file a case against the Twiddle Rock Band Distance Makes The Heart Tour Philadelphia Shirt and I love this company. TIL we have severance pay in India. How common is it? Also a company I worked for had me resign during the first lockdown. Was I played? Lol how the hell did it take you several years and not an instant realization that your scummy boss/manager/company was trying to cheat you of money they owe you ??? There is only thing they care about, and that is money. No one should ever start work before knowing that and always keepign that in mind. Financial privilege, sheltered life, growing up being told to always be agreeable (esp coz I am a woman), be a yesman, and keep head down and work hard. Took me a long time to unlearn these behaviours. Coz firstly I work in an industry which is quite unorganized and reputation is super important. I thought I would rather be able to say I left than say I was fired. They also loosely implied that I would only get decent recommendations if I resigned. Money isnt just about severence pay. Resigning eliminates any legal ground for wrongful termination case via labor board. Sometimes they do actually take these things seriously Okay that makes sense. I don’t really see anything wrong with that unless they actually wrongfully terminate someone and then force them to resign
