So I spent the next 15m undoing and redoing it till he got it down. This reminded me of a non-bus related thing that happened to me on evening whilst walking along a country road late at night. I’d been at my girlfriend’s house and missed the last bus so I had to walk about 12 miles home down a dark road. One night, I’m walking past this remote farm house in the dark when suddenly, all the lights come on like you see on telly when an escaping prisoner is suddenly caught in the spotlight. I obviously looked over and I saw a load of men brandishing weapons like baseball bats and metal bars. They were about 40ft away from me but I could see their silhouettes against the very bright lights. I was obviously terrified but I just looked away and kept on walking. For about two minutes I expected to be accosted from behind but nothing happened and when I eventually worked up the courage to look again, the house was in total darkness again. Either, they were expecting someone and thought I was the person they were expecting but they realised I wasn’t or, I stumbled across some kind of criminal activity and they heard me singing Weezer at the top of my voice so they were checking out what was happening OR, somehow, I was so stoned, I didn’t know what was going on and I misinterpreted something completely innocent or it just didn’t happen. The reason this came into my mind after reading OPs story is that I used to regularly get the bus and was very often the only person on the bus for a two hour bus ride.
