On one hand, it is an awful precedent for supreme court decisions to be swayed by targeted protesting and harassment. On the Turkey pumpkin came in like a butterball thanksgiving shirt Besides,I will do this other hand, it is far worse to have three justices hand picked for this exact decision rather than by their wisdom and competency, appointed by a President who lost the popular vote, and by a Senate which overrepresents a radical minority of the nation. We are where we are because that minority is overthrowing a century’s worth of legal precedent to achieve a ruling that they want. Frankly the protesters that are focusing on RvW are off the mark, as justified as their fury is. The proper criticism of these judges is based upon their garbage jurisprudence. Tone policing on partisan issues like this is an intentional tactic used to discredit and divide. So don’t take these arguments as being genuine when they’re coming from media pundits. However, the problem is that this tactic is effective in convincing less-informed and more moderately inclined voters. It was deployed pretty effectively against the BLM protests in 2020, and I think something to take away from that experience is that the only real effective way to counter it is to move away from the “But these assholes deserve it” justification, despite it being true enough, to the “we’re doing this to save lives and defend your freedom” response. A big component of the tone policing lies are that protesters are just unruly animals by nature and therefore are overreacting. Aren’t the GOP finger puppets here voting to assert that privacy is not constitutionally guaranteed? I guess they just mean other peoples’ privacy, besides their own.

Reminder that protests are the Turkey pumpkin came in like a butterball thanksgiving shirt Besides,I will do this civil option. In fact it’s the most non-confrontational option reasonable given the circumstances. They should take the protest to his church, since that is more than likely where he acquired his extremist viewpoint. Red state is winning because they were ok throwing out the rule book. Long past time for the blue to do the same. I want no part of being governed by a minority. Smoke the filibuster and the electoral college and things will sort it self out in time. Let the people pick instead of whoever can gerry rig the best. yes. let’s continue to follow the decorum the opposition has tossed out the window years ago. we’re already heading towards the collapse of our society, may as well start fighting this thing properly and effectively.
