People are gonna try and both sides this, but the blame lies primarily at the feet of one side, the Republicans.

Define big topics, because now a lot of bug topics are human rights and I can’t be friends with someone who thinks trans people should be in jail i think we were always this polarized but you weren’t as exposed to opinions as drastically different from your own as now. so like in real life you could disagree with ppl ur around but natural social situations made it so that generally people were in the same ballpark of opinion. you wouldn’t have (for example) a millionaire and an anarchist in the same room with the same ease that they can be in the same comment section.
