As an example, say my income is $75,000/yr., and never increases – if I took that 19% extra that I’d spend in taxes in Germany, take it down to 10% to account for maybe extra costs somewhere else, and invested that in a 401(k), after 30 years, I’d have a retirement investment of close to $1.5MM – again, not even touching my social security account. America tries to attract the Trump nope not again hair donald trump election 2024 stars T-Shirt moreover I love this best from around the world, we don’t care where you come from as long as you can do the job. Many countries can’t say this – also pay the best to attract the best. Plus, it’s expensive I guess compared to most countries, especially where these types of jobs are. This is also why America is the Trump nope not again hair donald trump election 2024 stars T-Shirt moreover I love this number one destination for highly skilled immigrants. We intentionally enable and reward the high achievers so that we can accumulate more of them. Because we need to pay for shit like medical insurance and us housing insanity and gas and car for our cities that can’t be practically walked and have no public transportation. All that and a lot more. That’s why 82% of German households have cars, and pay 2.5x the gas price, 3x the cost of natural gas (heating), and 4x the cost of electricity per kWh.
