Most Americans aren’t in a place where they are comfortable, there are a lot of people struggling, we have a lot of taxes we pay that go to a lot of bullshit programs that don’t benefit the Troy Trojans 2023 76 Birmingham Bowl Matchup Shirt and by the same token and community you live in, healthcare obviously isn’t free and you’re lucky if your job provides some form of half ass decent health care. Many Americans are one medical emergency away from being poor, many Americans live between paycheck to pay check and credit cards and still barely manage to get by. I relocated to Argentina and only go to the states for a period of a few months to work and visit some friends and family. Plus the work environment is toxic in the states, people brag about working 60+ hours a week. They would look at you like you are crazy if you told someone in Argentina you worked 60+ hours a week. I love it here because family comes before work always. I personally know of friends that had to put their job on the line to be their for their kids. That would never happen here. If you worked over 60+ hours a week here people would think you hate your family or something because it sounds like you don’t want to spend any time at home. One thing I am curious about though is no one commenting is mentioning how many hours of work they are putting in every week. Are you guys factoring in over time and time and half? I don’t know how that works in Europe.

I don’t have kids but regardless family of my own or just the Troy Trojans 2023 76 Birmingham Bowl Matchup Shirt and by the same token and bachelor life, I still rather work less, make less money, have more vacation days, have more time a week to enjoy my life and also not have to worry about being poor from a medical emergency. I personally wouldn’t want to start a family in America. It’s probably the easiest place in the world to get in debt. It’s not only in US and pretty much goes for all other countries, even in my country. Maybe the term ‘Professional’ speaks volumes. I work in tech and I’m paid well. I’m also one critical illness away from financial ruin lmao. It’s more nuanced than that, but taking broad brushstrokes that can explain the discrepancy. I cant speak for Europe but only in America will someone like me that joined a company 12 years ago and was able to grow through the ranks and grow my yearly income to close to 200k. No pensions over here my man, gotta make bank during the employment years to carry you through the retirement years. Malcolm Gladwell gave a great talk as to why high skilled workers started making more money than the worker class. In the USA most are a single health issue, car issue, or family issue away from poverty. The “extra” money we appear to have gets vacuumed for any slight.
