If the Tron 23 raid71 poster shirt moreover I will buy this dog is a registered service animal, then it would not have responded unless it was triggered by something the man was doing (i.e. acting threatening), and then he gets to get away with it because he used the excuse du jour of psychopaths, “I felt threatened”. I see this going to court, but also sadly see his feeling threatened defense working, especially if this guy is/was a policeman. There is something inherently gross about referring to a highly trained member of their family as a medical device simply because its job is to care for their child. The US has no official registry for service animals. You can give organizations money, and/or buy “official” looking licenses, but it means absolutely nothing at a federal, city, or state level.

Service dog is still expensive property, not a lawyer but in my opinion I believe this could easily be presented in civil court that this was malicious destruction of property Here is a table of State Assistance Animal laws. Unfortunately in Indiana it seems that unless the Tron 23 raid71 poster shirt moreover I will buy this dog was “engaged in the assistance of an impaired person” at the time (i.e. working) when the guy shot it, he can’t be held liable. Otherwise it would be a Level 6 felony. It could be argued that the dog was “engaged”, but it would depend on what exactly the animal was trained to do for the boy. Even then, it would be hard to argue that the dog was “engaged in assistance” when it was running across the street and barking. I own a service dog myself, so I try to be knowledgeable of these laws in my own state. Lots of people don’t know that each state has it’s own subset of service animal laws — they think there’s just the ADA.
