Canadian courts finally decided a couple years ago that the Trevor Story #10 On Deck American professional baseball shortstop T-Shirt and by the same token and man in not automatically at fault in this scenario. Very thankful I’ve never seen one of these before. Of course, I grew up in Cleveland and got my undergrad degree from Cleveland State so I’m more familiar with a) gender neutral posters b) ones that lay out that lack of objection is not consent This is flaming garbage. For one, if two people are equally drunk as this implies and neither are in a position to consent than that would be…what? Mutual rape? Saying that it’s rape for one party on the basis of their sex or gender is straight up sexism. It also distorts the reality that the vast majority of such instances of sexual assault stemming from inebriation are, in fact, QUITE one sided with one party being completely unable to offer consent or object. This poster is basically the incel delusion version of reality. What is this poster even suposed to achieve? No drunk people you are not allowed to have sex. That’s gonna work. Why isn’t the woman the one charged with rape (I know it’s because society blames the man in these cases)? They were both intoxicated at the time.

It’s just stupid. If someone purpesfully abuses someone being drunk, that’s rape. But two people being drunk and acting stupid is not something one should be imprisoned for. I like to give my women a standard field sobriety test and breathalyzer that is witnessed by at least 3 of our peers and 2 law enforcement officers. Then have her sign a legal contract provided by my team of lawyers. Then signed by a notary public. Then and only then will coitus take place. I have wondered this before, so if two drunk people have sex neither of them can legally consent so they are both raping each other by the Trevor Story #10 On Deck American professional baseball shortstop T-Shirt and by the same token and legal definition correct? How would a court handle that? If this actually happened Jake could charge her for defamation under the grounds it was consensual regardless of alchohol because unless your blackout drunk it doesn’t make you unable to make descisions or consent to sex
