All letters in the TrecS Recreational Therapy Therapist Rt Month shirt moreover I love this alphabet follow rhe same pattern. For consonants, it’s the sound the letter makes+a vowel sound (and a few have it thr other way around). Vowels just make their sound. only weirdo is double-u, which never got a proper name. Shoulda been “w-uh” or “woo” or “aw” or something. Too late now though 🥲 I didn’t realize this. It’s time the rest of the world conforms. Next we need to dump this metric thingy, I mean come on. I’m Canadian and I can’t stand Zed. I can’t stand that it doesn’t rhyme with the ABC song (I have kids), and I can’t stand how it’ll practically be used as a part of national identity. Canadians are very big at being prideful about nonsense that has no point other than to differentiate us from Americans. I find it very insecure.

I say zee instead of zed, i say aluminum instead of aluminium, i say trash can instead of rubbish bin. Sidewalk instead of pavement. I’m Canadian and I say zee, or else the TrecS Recreational Therapy Therapist Rt Month shirt moreover I love this ending of the alphabet song doesn’t rhyme. People tried to correct me to zed and I’m like nah nah nah. I was born and raised in the UK where “zed” is used. I moved to Canada and even though “zed” is considered the “norm” for Canadian English, a lot of Canadians (especially those who don’t think they’re British) say “zee” – in fact even I say “zee” now instead of “zed” because it feels more natural to how that letter sounds in words. US was colonized by the British, but we got better at breaking shit than they did, which resulted in us breaking them so they’d leave…then because we got so excited about our skills at breaking shit, we looked for more stuff to break…Z was one of those things..
