My little brother describes me in kind of the Trea TurnerAmerican professional baseball shortstop L.A T-Shirt in addition I really love this same. He calls me “smartest dumb bitch he’s ever met”. It’s a thing I guess For example, in college, a lot of high performing (and underperforming for the record) freshman do things like overload the laundry room machines, put waaaay to much soap, fuck up their clothes by mixing colors, etc. The machine doesn’t tell you what a small vs medium sized load is, the wording on the instructions on the clothing tags don’t line up with what the machines settings are, the detergent doesn’t get measured in exact amounts, etc. Whereas a lot of coursework is cut and dry when you break it down. This is what integrals are, this historic event happened at this time in this place, these are the laws of thermodynamics, etc.

*at least historically, it’s the Trea TurnerAmerican professional baseball shortstop L.A T-Shirt in addition I really love this internet age man you can find step by step instructions on how to button your pants now Processing speed and task performance are not connected to intelligence levels. Many very bright people move and think slowly. Neither one of these things means the person is particularly bright or quick or whatever. I have known some exceedingly smart people in my time, but not a single one of them could handle life at all. It’s astounding. My partner is like this, when she’s at work she is so on the ball and so smart but at home she’s asking me how to use the microwave or, more recently, how much a pinch of salt is.
