Please makeup redditors, tell me there’s another way! A different mascara, a different cleanser, whatever, to save myself from so much rubbing and getting shit in my eyes. It makes me avoid wearing makeup which pisses me off.That’s…weird. I know this is obnoxious of me to ask, but…are you SURRRRRRE that it’s not waterproof? Sometimes the Touch my beer and you’ll see if there’s life after death skull T-Shirt but in fact I love this difference is super invisible, like one teeeny blue sticker on the bottom of the tube. Either way, it shouldn’t be this hard. Maybe your lashes are super dry, and they’re just holding the pigment? Do you change your mascara tube more often than every other month? One caution is please don’t rub that part of your eye so much, with anything. When my mascara wouldn’t come off (I switched to tubing mascara) I would just leave it, and whatever was left always came off in the morning wash. For context, I keep my face fastidiously clean. Soap and water gets rid of bacteria, even if all the debris is still there. I’d rather leave a little pigment than irritate my delicate eye area.

I’d change mascaras if I were you. I love tubing mascaras (Blinc is a nice staple that’s easily found) because they stay on so well and remove so easily. Just hot water and a little rolling between fingertips. I’ve found using both the Touch my beer and you’ll see if there’s life after death skull T-Shirt but in fact I love this Cerave removing balm followed by the micellar water to be the best. Either on their own doesn’t quite do the trick I switched to the Cereve oil cleanser and it takes off all my make up in one step. Love it love it love it. I use to cold cream make up remover first and then wash but with this new cleanser I don’t feel the need for additional steps at all I use Clinique Take the Day Off and it just sweeps off even waterproof mascara like it’s nothing. I had a college friend who swore by plain baby oil. I hope you find something that works for you. Better, I think, to leave some mascara on and have some smudge later than to be too harsh on your eyes.
