I lock my cat in my office at night (honestly, so much of his shit is in that room like toys, scratching posts, beds, hidden litter box, etc. that it’s basically his office anyway), so I say no. I love him but he’s an annoying shit at night. Knocking things off desks/dressers, loud meowing zoomies, an absolute obsession with trying to get into my closet and crying when he can’t get in, etc. It’s better for both of us that he sleeps in another room. During the Top rondout valley high school alumni class of 1977 shirt but in fact I love this day he has free roam to go wherever he wants. You aren’t being a bad cat owner, but there are things you can do to instead get them tired and sleep with you peacefully. Just feed them and play with them with wand/stick toys about 1 to 2 hours before YOU go to bed. This is how I’ve trained my 2 cats and they instead sleep with me either in my bed or somewhere in my room with me until morning.

Malcolm is adorable! You might try an intense play session right before you go to bed. I have learned that you can lay in the Top rondout valley high school alumni class of 1977 shirt but in fact I love this bed and use the laser pointer, and exercise your cat very well that way, LOL! Or use the Cat Dancer. I can’t guarantee anything, but you may be able to tire him out enough that he will not get the 3:00 a.m. zoomies! But don’t expect it to hold him any longer than 5:00 a.m.! I was never able to successfully lock my cats outside of the bedroom, no matter what they were doing or what time they did it. I just felt too guilty, and besides, I wanted them in there with me! My cat regularly got himself locked out of the bedroom as a kitten. Now that he is around a year old he has calmed down a lot and knows not to wake me up at 3AM.
