If you walk into any regular police station, that’s lockup. They’ll search you, but they’re not going to necessarily strip search you. They’ll give you a good pat down for sure though. They just want to make sure you don’t have anything dangerous on your person, and that you can’t hang yourself or strangle someone with your shoe laces or drawstrings. Side note: when you turn yourself in, make sure to wear comfortable clothes, nothing with laces or drawstrings. You’re more than likely only going to get one shirt and one undergarment on top. Like, if you’re wearing a tee shirt and hoodie, they’re going to make you choose which one you want. But(from what I know) they don’t count a bra as a top. Id go sports bra and a hoodie or sweatshirt that doesn’t have drawstrings. Wear shoes that you can slide in and out of if you have them. Again, no laces. They’ll either take your shoes, or cut your laces. So you can have slip-ons or be in your socks. As for pants, don’t bother with a belt, they’re going to take it from you, wear something tighter fitting that you won’t need a belt for if you have something like that. Bring only your drivers license. No cash on your person, no credit cards, nothing extraneous. You don’t want to go back and get your stuff and find out the Top luis Severino New York Y Power T-Shirt in other words I will buy this local cops took all your money or credit cards.

Jail is a county thing-bring a trusted friend with you where you turn yourself in, and make sure to find out when you’ll make your first appearance in front of a judge. when you turn yourself in, you’ll be held in lockup before you go in front of a judge. When you’re in front of a judge is when you’ll make your initial plea(guilty/not guilty) and be assigned bail if allowed. If you can post bail right then and there, do it, cause it’ll save you a lot of trouble in the Top luis Severino New York Y Power T-Shirt in other words I will buy this long run and it’ll keep you out of actual jail. This is where the trusted friend/family becomes very important. They’ll need to be available with bail money/some form of payment. You turning yourself in should look favorable to a decent judge, but again it will depend on what your warrant is for. (Not having an attorney might also work in your favor. BE POLITE TO THE JUDGE. look them in the eye, answer yes/ no Your Honor, even if they’re dicks to you politeness goes a long way and might help keep you out of jail). If it’s something Violent and heinous, bail might be $20,000. If it’s for several unpaid parking tickets, it might be $250. Idk and there’s a range of amounts a judge can go off of depending on the charges.
