You can mention the Top caution i have no filter shirt besides I will buy this shower issues in the review, but I wouldn’t mention road work that is beyond the host’s control. I would downgrade them for ease of checkin though, since they didn’t mention any changes in access and didn’t respond to your questions. As a host we have twice gotten review taken down for people that did not stay. If you don’t stay you can’t leave a review. They are clear on that policy. So then why have people always been allowed to leave reviews for Guests Who cancel? And what about those listings where it’s basically a scam and the place is inaccessible, guests can’t leave reviews in those situations just because they didn’t stay at the place? I once got a listing taken down because a women claimed “We didn’t have heat” She never stayed at the place and by the way, in the winters temp regularly go below 0. If we didn’t have heat all the guests before would have died. Instead we were getting a whole heap of five star reviews from the those guest…they didn’t die lol. In that case feels unfair for someone who didn’t stay to accuse me of not having heat. Justice served. System works.

No, your guests wouldn’t have died they would have just been uncomfortable. And it almost certainly broke before that guest arrived. Don’t get pissy at your guests when YOUR equipment fails. Most likely the Top caution i have no filter shirt besides I will buy this guest wanted to cancel or found something cheaper, and was ticked that the host stuck to their cancelation policy. So they made up a story to try to harm the host’s business. I see this all the time. They were uncomfortable and yet I got 15 five star reviews in a row and no complaints about that heat? The heat was working. Again the guest NEVER SHOWEd admitted to us on the platform for Airbnb to see. Its an open and shut case you can’t review someplace you have never been to and you certainly can’t lie about the heat not working when it does. Depends how much time you have but I wouldn’t bother fighting it, you likely won’t win. Just stop using Air BnB. My negative review was deleted but Air BnB allowed the host to leave me a false negative review saying I’d had a party when I didn’t. She did that because I got a 50% refund. Air BnB suck ass. Stop using them. They’re only going to get worse
