Now that he has a little void sister they get kicked out every now and then. 3am seems to be kitty witching hour! My 5-year-old guy and I have had a routine since he was about the age of yours, if I pay him in treats before I lock him out for the night, we have no problem. Countless times over the years I’ve tried letting him back in because I do want to have him in there so bad, but every night between 3 and 4am, he starts walking back and forth across my pillow/head. I call it pillow walking. I’ve found with my cats that locking them out when they acted up taught them to behave. But I wouldn’t allow them to sleep in my room until they got a little older.

My childhood cat didn’t get the Top california manhattan beach shirt but in fact I love this zoomies at night but he did bite my toes at 3 am a few times. Happily he quickly grew out of it and curled up next to my head instead as a drooling purr machine. Please. My two sleep in “their” designated room with all the comforts. The Boy would fling himself at our bedroom door at 3 am and that was a nope for me. Probably not a bad idea to get them acclimated to your sleep schedule. We have three. She comes in and starts biting toes until monkeys dance. I’m kind of a morning person anyway but we should have discouraged this behavior early on. Now it’s ritual. Mine knocks things off both our night tables when he believes it should be breakfast. Always lock him out when this behavior happen (which sucks bc he is a snuggle bug too) weird thing is I purposely never feed him immediately upon getting up ever so why he thinks waking me up for food will do it no idea bur he is an adorable little bum hahahaha
