the Top billy Strings Spring Tour 2023 Script april Shirt What’s more,I will buy this idea of race faking and such exists and I could see argument for that being effectively digital blackface. a bit extreme but that’s defensible pretty easily. If you’re Black and you’ve shared such images online, you get a pass. But if you’re White, you may have inadvertently perpetuated one of the most insidious forms of contemporary racism. You see, that isn’t just CNN. Every major news station does this so politicians can solve the made up issues. In other words, the major news companies do more “thinking” than our own leaders. The article is a big nothing burger. It’s just stating the obvious and failing to meet their own guidelines for what digital blackface is. “This guidance might help: If a White person shares an image online that perpetuates stereotypes of Black people as loud, dumb, hyperviolent or hypersexual, they’ve entered digital blackface territory.” Then they use the examples of Beyonce and that old meme. It’s like they intentionally wrote this to generate outrage and muddy the waters. I’m confused. Is CNN saying white people only supposed to use images of black people if those images are like Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel Air? The opinion piece is logically inconsistent. That only stereotypes should be avoided and that using black people gifs are stereotyping.

this is spot on. there’s possibly an actual point to be made, but then they were like let’s say in the Top billy Strings Spring Tour 2023 Script april Shirt What’s more,I will buy this opening that white people who use any black memes are racist That is exactly what it is. It’s what virtually all ‘news’ has become over the last decade and a half. Clickbaity outrage to generate ad revenue. One of the unwritten rules of internet is don’t share your personal information unless you want them know, this includes your race, sex, age, etc. so you can be whoever you want online What i’m saying is i could be a 200 pound drag quenn with reptile legs named bobbdy barkerson and you wouldn’t know it John Blake writes the dumbest shit. Ignore anything he posts because he thinks everything is racist, even if there is no racism. (Actual article of his) CNN and network news in general is always creating problems where none exist. Note how much out there is promoting division across virtually every difference we have. Memes are the least of it Actively avoiding specific groups of people and not ingaging with them in any way shape of form including media. ✅️ Keep mentionning how one group of people acts a way or how one group of people are perfect and the other not ✅️
