The sailor who stabbed me was given a general court-martial and sentenced to 2 years in military prison (it was the most serious case for which I was a witness — and rather ironic since I was also the victim). I think they sent him to a facility in Seattle.

I had a numb, dazed feeling, a consciousness of being very badly hurt, but no pain in the ordinary sense.
