My FIL went out of his way to kiss my baby on her mouth once?? Like, actively had to track her bobbling little face?? She didn’t get sick, but it was just fucking weird, and I hated it. I still hate thinking about it and it’s been like, 3 months since it happened. I can understand wanting to kiss and squish their little cheeks, but who wants to kiss a gunky, slobbery baby mouth? Not only kissing, but on the Tony Perkis Oh Look A Deli Meat Vintage Movies shirt and by the same token and mouth! Only time I’ve ever done that was on accident when I went for the squishy cheeks and she turned and gave me a slobbery kiss lol Haha i love kissing my baby on her gross little mouth! But I’m her mom so I’m allowed. Anyone else – absolutely not. Same I’m never not smooching my babies precious little face and not picky I’ll kiss whatever slobbery milk breath part is in easy access lol. I don’t like snot in my mouth but anything else? SMOOCHIN THAT BABY. I made you and I make your food we are gonna snuggle. Ha! Same here. It’s wild how different it is being the parent. My girl’s boogers and milky slobber are not stopping me. Although, before i had a baby the sight of that would definitely made me gag lol

Same. I cried to my husband about it after. I couldn’t process what had happened as it was occurring.?‍??‍? Yeah my MIL kept doing this and I asked to not kiss my son on the Tony Perkis Oh Look A Deli Meat Vintage Movies shirt and by the same token and lips. “Why?” She asked, all offended. “Because it’s unhygienic and because I don’t like it.” She just replied with “Mkay?” At least she stopped, so idgaf That’s a baaaaaaaaaaaad policy. People may be shedding HERPES virus in their lips and may not even have a sore. That’s why 80% of the population has herpes virus 1/2. The last thing you want to be doing is kissing babies on their lips. You’re probably still thinking about it because you didn’t know how to address it then or handle it now. It’s really tough being a new parent just without people being idiots or assholes. But when they are, we are forced to stand up for our kids.
