About a year before that, I logged on one day to find about eight pro-Russian tweets (in Russian) that had been posted from my account over the Tony P X Davis Clarke Shirt it is in the first place but previous week. So I went into lockdown mode and changed the password set up 2FA, and then went to change passwords for any other account I had online. I nuked mine in 2014, along with FB. Shit is straight toxic and now Reddit is full of people sharing screenshots of all the toxic shit. I haven’t posted to FB in a couple years, but I still have it. The algorithm is absolute garbage now, it keeps showing me right wing BS pages and flat earth conspiracy shit. Missed me on the politicized shit but last time I logged in after having kicked it more or less half a decade ago it was literally all suggested content/pages. Hardly a post from actual people… I heard somewhere that it takes a significant amount of server space to block accounts. So I log in occasionally and just block every single account I see. I’m going for the record. Elon can try by hiding comments until you’re logged in but I have a feeling that’s doing more good for people than he realizes. Even though it’s going to shit, some cling to it because, compared to other social media platforms, it was consistently used by people and companies alike.

With it going to shit, some have issues leaving what they’re used to, or things they follow haven’t made the Tony P X Davis Clarke Shirt it is in the first place but leap anywhere else. It was time over a year ago. The problem is that none of the new platforms have the easy conversational format of Twitter. They are algorithm driven messes. I worked in IT since the 80s and kept up with all of the online fads. I joined twitter shortly after it became a thing. I posted maybe one thing just to see what it did and never touched it again. I actually went back after all these years to delete the account but it is associated with a email account and phone number that I no longer have. So my dead account will live on for as long as twitter does, which hopefully isn’t too much longer. Eugh. I joined briefly last year, just before summer hit hard, and spent a few months dicking around, because I wanted to join in with the other writers and authors there, as a writer myself. 🙁 but yeah I ended up dipping a few months later due to the sheer toxicity, and watching my reports get taken less and less seriously literally every day.
