I got married 5 years ago at 30, and was very upfront with my wife when we started dating that this is how I operate, and she was okay with it. Funny thing though, since we connected, I haven’t had the Tom And Jerry Hat Santa Chick-Fil-A Tree Merry Christmas Shirt in contrast I will get this urge to sleep with anyone else. Cest la vie, I guess. Sex is fun and it doesn’t bother me as long as we aren’t trying to hide whole-ass relationships or be hurtful to each other. But it’s the same situation – I’m please with what we have and I know there are very few people who are on my vibe the way he is, and vice versa. So it makes me not really care to have sex with others, even though we have the freedom to. It’s not always insecurity. You can also call this a values system. Some people have values different than others and alone time with the opposite sex would be inappropriate within that values system, that’s the type of person someone with that boundary would want to find to date. As a bi person I cringe every time I read these posts. Guess I just can’t have any friends for fear all lose all inhibitions and sleep with them. Seriously have a partner you trust and self control, that’s all it takes
