I had to fly home to Chicago (I live on Oahu) because my grandmother died in 2021. COVID restrictions were reasonably still intense. Had to have vaccine card just to fly. I get on the Till Death do us party cannabis skeleton hand shirt in addition I really love this 9 hour flight back to Oahu, and find that I am sitting next to a loud, drunk woman getting ready to vacation. Halfway through the flight, after she takes her mask off and talks and laughs and drinks in my direction, she tells me her vaccine card is fake. I do my best to stay away from her (but how??) and quickly exit when we land. The next day I wake up incredibly sick. Even after two vaccines, I got COVID. So painful even my fingernails hurt. Was forced to miss ten days of work (which I could not afford) and had to go through Hawaii’s contact tracing. I told them what happened, gave my flight and seat number, and wished them luck. That woman probably made others sick. She cost me an absurd amount of lost wages.

One time I was on a flight sitting in the aisle seat. I had my carry-on in the overhead, and I was absolutely exhausted and went to take a nap. So Im sitting there asleep with my feet beneath the seat in front of me, and Im woken up and realize the old lady next to me is trying to put her feet under the seat in front of me because the seat in front of her is full from her bag. I couldnt believe it. I already was cranky as fuck, so I just pushed her feet away and gave her a dirty look. She didnt try that again. For me and my sister it was a guy who was smaller than both of us managing to take up the most space. Idk how he managed that but he did. It didn’t seem he cared about personal space
